Recitals

Whereas the Distributor intends to market and distribute [product(s) name/model(s)] in the State of California;

Whereas the Distributor seeks to comply with [ISO 9001:2015;

Whereas third-party content, components, or services have been incorporated into the Product by the Supplier and/or in the supply chain and may affect conformity to the Standard;

Now, therefore, the Distributor declares partial compliance as described below.

 

Scope of Declaration

Applicable products: including associated accessories and packaging distributed in California.

Geographical scope: State of California, USA.

The scope excludes: [elements not affected or outside the Standard’s applicability, if any].

 

Standard and Compliance Objective

Standard: ISO 9001:2015, including the applicable clauses and requirements relevant to the Product and its distribution in California.

Compliance Objective: To demonstrate partial compliance with the Standard, given reliance on third-party content or supplier-provided components beyond the Distributor’s full control.


 

The Distributor has:

  Implemented controls and compensating measures to address gaps introduced by supplier content.

  Conducted risk assessment and identified residual risks that are outside the Distributor’s full control.

  Established monitoring, escalation, and remediation plans for supplier content as applicable to California distribution.

 

Partial Compliance StatuDistribution-Specific Controls and Mitigations

Regulatory Compliance in California: Confirm conformity with California-specific requirements applicable to the Product (e.g., California consumer safety, labeling, return policies) as far as the Distributor can influence.

Supplier Management: Documentation of supplier attestations, safety data sheets, and applicable regulatory approvals; contractual obligations for ongoing compliance.

Quality and Safety Controls: Dispatch/receiving checks, batch traceability, adverse event reporting channels, recall readiness.

Data Handling & Privacy (if applicable): If the Product handles user data, ensure compliance with California privacy obligations.

Monitoring and Remediation: Procedures for monitoring supplier components, vulnerability management, and corrective action timelines.

 

Compliance Statements and Responsibilities

The Distributor states that, to the best of its knowledge and with reasonable due diligence, it partially complies with the Standard as described herein due to reliance on supplier content and components outside the Distributor’s full control.

The Distributor commits to:

  Maintain an up-to-date record of supplier components and related regulatory considerations.

  Update this declaration if scope, content, or risk profile changes.

  Inform California stakeholders and customers of material changes affecting compliance.

 

Limitations

This declaration does not constitute a certification or guarantee of conformity to the Standard.

The Distributor is not liable for supplier content beyond its control, except as defined in contractual or regulatory obligations.

The Distributor reserves the right to revoke or revise this declaration if new information arises.
